How to wear

As Ellen Catherine jewellery is handmade, special care is essential to maintain its shine. Jewellery should be the last item you put on and the first you take off. Avoid spraying hairspray or perfume near it, especially for gold-plated items, as this can cause tarnishing. Also, keep your jewellery out of the bathroom to preserve its finish.

How to store

When not in use, store your jewellery in a safe, dry place. A box lined with an anti-tarnish microsuede fabric will help to prevent damage and tarnishing. You can also keep it wrapped in the tissue paper we provide. Ensure each piece is stored separately and completely dry before putting it away.

How to clean

Regularly polish your jewellery with a soft cloth to keep its shine. For more thorough cleaning, follow the material-specific care instructions below.

Material-Specific Care Instructions

Sterling Silver

Regularly polish with a soft cloth to prevent tarnish and keep it gleaming. For deeper cleaning, use a mild soap and warm water, or try the bicarbonate of soda method for stubborn tarnish. Always ensure the jewellery is fully dry before storing. Wearing your silver frequently helps slow down tarnishing.
