With Cat being Hannah’s friend from school, we knew she was the perfect choice to make our wedding rings. There’s something about knowing that a close friend has crafted a symbol of your love together that adds so much value to a piece of jewellery. From the beginning, Cat made time for us and ensured everything was perfect. She sketched designs, showed us examples of previous works, and presented different metal options before helping us decide on the final look. Since the rings in a packet of Haribo Starmix don’t count, I can’t say I’ve worn a ring before. Being able to visit Cat and try on different shapes, cuts, and sizes made the experience so much easier and more enjoyable. I absolutely love my many pieces of Ellen Catherine jewellery (I never take the earrings off!), so it was a no-brainer that we chose her to design our wedding rings. I knew the type of bridal jewellery I wanted to wear to match my wedding gown, and since Cat was designing our wedding bands, I loved the idea of her also making my necklace and earrings. She found the most gorgeous pearls to use, and together we designed my dream drop pearl earrings and a matching necklace. We thought it would be an extra nice touch to have our bridesmaids wear bracelets from the same designer as the bridal jewellery, so she also made five personalised bracelets for us too.
